"Cocktail: Shaken' and Stirred"
presented by Jaymz Bee &
the Royal Jelly Orchestra, 1996
A
swinging little number from the end of the Lounge revival. An instant favorite
for any GenX hipster. Bee has a rock and roll soul hidden away in the back
booth of a velvet nightclub. This dics features lounge re-interpretations
of classics like "Born to Be Wild" and "Takin' Care of Business," and of
80's and 90's chart toppers like "Safety Dance" and the once-naughty-but-now-nice
"You Oughta Know." A bit on the goofy side, but a great ice-breaker when
you bring those hip, modern kittens back for a nightcap.
