"The
Whole Pop Catalog"
by The Berkeley Pop Culture
Project
Avon Books, 1991
Are you a kitsch culture
junkie? Are you jonesin' for your next fix? Well, the Whole Pop Catalog
is here to give you the buzz you need. Modeled after the Whole Earth
Catalog, the Whole Pop Catalog gives you hundreds
of pages of info on every aspect of modern popular cuture and where to
send off to get the stuff. Lunch boxes, comic books, breakfast cereal,
pinball machines, movie monsters, hula hoops--it's all in there. This catalog
was put out just before the web hit the public conscienceness, so all you
get here are snail-mail addresses and phone numbers. The good thing is
that the Berkeley Pop Culture Project have gone cyber and in the guise
of the Whole Pop Magazine Online
and now offer their catalog on the net. (If you like this type off stuff,
make sure to also check out the Archie
McPhee website.)
