Wow! What a party it was. A big thank you to everyone who came
out to our big Cocktails and Cheesecake Party at the Art
Bar in Las Vegas. It was a swinging crowd with tons of pretty girls, photographers,
and a video crew or two. I even saw a few old Java's Bachelor Pad Exotic
World Tour t-shirts in the crowd!
First of all, I have to say thank you to my wonderful co-hosts Kay
O'Hara and Gigi Valiant. They make putting on
these parties so much fun.
We had seven wonderful burlesque performers who just knocked the crowd
over--Betsey Bosen, Bunny Bravo, Lolita
Haze, Veronica Lashe, Ravenna Black,
Kalani
Kokonuts, and Ava Garter. Thank you, gals! I'm glad
I had a front-row seat (and even an on-stage seat!) for your acts!
Also thanks to Second Life Entertainment for setting up
an amazing sound and light rig. And thanks to DJ Goo Goo Muck
for keeping the party going after the burlesque performances. Thanks to
Jesse, Larry, and all the folks at the Art Bar for their help keeping the
cocktails flowing.
And I can't forget our sponsors: BowlingShirt.com, CruisinUSA.com,
The
Burlesque Hall of Fame, Secrets In Lace, Bad
Attitude Boutique, Badland Beads, The Atomic
Age Alliance, Sheer Miracle, HonkItUp.com,
and Mark K. Hollinger Photography. Thank you for the swag
for the tables and the great door prizes!
Did you see all the great people in the crowd? Bachelor Pad Magazine
cover girls Heidi Van Horne
and Sabina Kelley were in appearance. (Of course Kay, Betsey,
and Ava--all who have been in the magazine were also around signing copies
for people.) Cheesecake Queen 8 Asia DeVinyl
was on hand as well as more pin-up and burlesque girls than I could count.
The swinging band Spy-Fi were there with legendary James
Bond guitarist Vick Flick to promote the brand-new album
of their's called "Black Tie Spy." (Which features Kay on the cover!) Those
who got the bar early were able to hear selections from the cool new cd.
The folks from the Burlesque Podcast were there too taping
future shows.
All and all, it was an amazing evening. Thanks again to everyone who
came out and make the Vegas launch of Bachelor Pad Magazine
such a success. For those who didn't make it, better mark your calendars
now for 2009's Cocktails and Cheesecake Party!
